As a door supervisor, security officer or security guard, you are required by law to have a license to practice from the SIA, under the Private Security Industry Act 2001. These qualifications are SIA approved and successful completion will enable you to apply for a license.

Physical Intervention
     
The approach to physical intervention addresses different levels of risk and can easily be adapted to problem-solve and respond to different sets of circumstances. Before attending the Physical Intervention course, students must have attended a recognised Conflict Management course.
 
Level 1 Disengagement - including the law, the MAYBO Physical Intervention Toolbox, dealing with grips and grabs and using evasion.
 
Level 2 Holding - including holding and escorting core techniques, legal and medical issues, holding individuals in seated and standing positions.
 
Level 3 Additional Holding
